This Privacy Policy explains how SpotIt Locator, published by Pynology, Inc. ("Pynology," "we," "our," or "us"), handles information when you use the SpotIt Locator mobile application.
SpotIt Locator is a home organization app that helps users remember where items are stored. Users can save item names, notes, locations, and photos so those items are easier to find later.
SpotIt Locator stores the information you choose to enter, such as item names, descriptions, notes, location details, and photos associated with your saved items.
SpotIt Locator stores your app data locally on your device. SpotIt Locator does not upload your saved item data, photos, or app content to Pynology servers.
SpotIt Locator may request access to your device camera and photo library so you can take photos of items or attach existing photos to item records. These permissions are used only to support app features related to identifying and organizing your belongings.
SpotIt Locator includes optional export and import functionality. When you choose to export your data, the app creates a Base64-encoded JSON representation of your saved data and presents your device’s standard sharing options, such as Messages, Mail, or other apps available through the system share sheet. Exporting and sharing are initiated only by you.
Pynology does not sell your personal information. Because SpotIt Locator stores data locally on your device and does not upload your saved app data to our servers, we do not share your saved item data with third parties unless you choose to export and share it yourself using your device’s sharing features.
Your data remains on your device unless you delete it, remove the app, or choose to export and share it. If you uninstall the app, locally stored app data may be removed depending on your device and platform behavior.
SpotIt Locator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You control what information you enter into the app, whether you grant camera or photo permissions, and whether you export or share your data. You may also delete saved content within the app at any time.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown on this page.
